Waffle Catering in Colorado's Mountain Towns: Vail, Aspen, Conifer and Bailey

We're based in Denver and most of our events are on the Front Range, but we do take mountain events. Here's what to expect in each town, including the travel fee. Every mountain event past an hour's drive pays one, and the farther towns always do.

    Mountain events, honestly

Mountain events are mostly weddings, retreats and private gatherings, booked well ahead. A waffle bar works as a morning-after brunch or a late-night station.

We need a flat 10x10 ft space and power at the venue, so confirm what your venue provides before you book.

Winter driving on I-70 and US 285 affects timing. We plan the crew's departure around it; the fee itself is set from Google's drive time when you book.

    Typical venues

    • Mountain wedding and event venues
    • Lodges, cabins and group rentals
    • Resort meeting spaces, with the venue's approval
    • Community halls

    Vail

Vail is in Eagle County, on the far side of Vail Pass on I-70. It is well over an hour from our Denver kitchen, so a Vail event always carries a travel fee, and winter pass conditions matter for timing.

    Aspen

Aspen is in Pitkin County. Independence Pass closes in winter, so the drive goes around by I-70 and Glenwood Springs. That puts Aspen near the four-hour limit of our service area: expect one of the top travel-fee tiers, and call us if Google puts your venue past four hours.

For reference, Google measured 180 minutes' one-way drive to a venue we quoted in Carbondale, down the valley from Aspen: a $300 travel fee.

    Conifer

Conifer is in Jefferson County on US 285, southwest of Denver, and it sits close to the one-hour line. Some Conifer addresses have no fee and others pass the hour.

For reference, Google measured 48 minutes' one-way drive to a venue we quoted in the Aspen Park area near Conifer: no travel fee.

    Bailey

Bailey is in Park County, farther up US 285 past Conifer. It is beyond an hour's drive from our kitchen, so a Bailey event carries a travel fee.
